HTC unveiled today the little brother of the Diamond series. It has the same classy curves and shades that made such a success out of HTC’s Diamond, but this one also gives a reason of joy to those of us that need a full set of physical keys to come along with the design.
Let’s see what’s under the hood: Bluetooth, HSPA with 7.2Mbps on the downstream, WiFi, Windows Mobile 6.1 using the TouchFLO 3D interface, a 2.8-inch VGA display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 500Mb ROM, and 288MB of RAM to complete the collection. The QWERTY slider will arrive in Europe a little later with 900 / 2100MHz 3G and the quadband GSM and EDGE.

Probably one of the most tasteful cellphone designs is HTC’s Touch Diamond. Along with its other fancy features and graphics, HTC provided the handheld with an appropriate design, to make it look like a jewel.

You can see from this picture how the curves on its back make it look very much like a diamond, and I think HTC designers should be congratulated for the way they approached this project. It also uses the Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional platform and you can pre-order it now for £439.95.

HTC is a company which produces cool handhelds and probably the best is the Touch Diamonds. If you like them, then you will be very happy to know that now you can pre-order a cradle special designed for HTC’s product. The dock will cost $49 and it can be connected to home stereo system through a USB connector, but also it features a headphone jack. This desktop cradle will give you the possibility to listen to music while charging or syncing the Touch Diamond. I think that this dock is pure inspiration from HTC and I hope to get one very soon.

Verizon seems to update it’s phones lineup with a new touchscreen model from HTC, the XV6900 Touch. It has a cute design and good performances, with EV-DO, a 2-megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6 and GPS. Currently we aren’t sure it’s even real, but it looks like. Also no price has been leaked.
