Nokia 8800 Diamond

When the phone was first invented, the idea was to talk with your friends who are far away. Nowadays, we have cellphones who help us do that, but it seems like we always want more. You can surf the internet, take photos and videos, listen to music and many other stuff. Still this is not enough to fulfill our demands, we really need more if we can afford it.

Thomas Heyerdahl is the man who took 112 authentic diamonds and integrated them into a Nokia 8800 for the joy of rich people. The diamonds will take Nokia’s 8800 price to a total of $5,933.

Tony Hawk Sidekick LX Comes In July

Tags: , , , , ,

The Tony Hawk edition of the Sidekick LX is expected to appear today in front of the public, and seems that it has added some interesting features to the grip-tape-texture and skateboard look and feel. The firmware updates will include stereo Bluetooth, video recording, additional themes, and video sharing capability.

Sidekick will make photos and previews available today, but you won’t be able to buy the gadget just until the middle of July. The ‘play and share’ capability will definitely be a plus for the video recording fans, especially that it comes under such a ‘hood’.

Super Phone Is Too Long

Tags: , , , , ,

From the title, you may expect some super-features on its technical side, but let me lower your expectations from the beginning: it is called the ‘Super Phone’ just because of its size. Designer Tamer Koseli just broke the prejudice about cell phones, that they all should be of a small size, or at least small enough to fit your pocket.

Orbit Watch

Here is a very cool watch that in the future everybody will love to have them as an accessory. The Orbit Watch designed for Swatch features three lines, for hours, minutes and seconds. You can choose from several colors and until the Orbit is launched, just think of one that suits you.

CECT Watchphone

The second watch is a CECT Watchphone which sports a keypad on the strap, MP3 Player, FM Radio, MPEG4 video-playback and the most important is the cellphone which runs 150 minutes of talk time. This watch costs about $297, but I guess it’s worthwhile thanks to all its features.

Timex Life Index Watch

Here is another concept watch which really frightens me because it counts down the days until you will die. Yeah, that’s right. It can do that as it monitors your fitness and stress level, sleep and nutrition among others. Those who have a healthy life are not worried, but there are many people who shouldn’t wear it. The watch is called Timex Life Index Watch and it was designed by Timex.

Cuusoo Concept

Check out this cellphone concept. There is nothing like it, but it could represent the future of gadgets because it’s a PC and a phone. The design was created by Marimo-san from Cuusoo who had the idea to develop a cellphone that can give the user the opportunity to detach the phone’s screen and in the same time, you can go on with your video calls.

The Japanese designer created several examples of the mobile phone with detachable screen - conventional screen, widescreen PC-style and also dual screen. No words about release date, but I guess that this phone concept has a long way to go until unveiling.

Tao Mao LED Cellphone

This Led cellphone concept from Tao Mao seems to be one of the most simplest but cutest cellphones, in Apple’s style. While it doesn’t have advanced functions, using LED for literally everything, not only for design or back-lightnin, as other cellphones. Also, it doesn’t quite feature a display, because everything it needs to indicate it’s done by LED, but it features contacts, calling, SMS and even games.

It’s keypad is touch sensitive and it’s only powered by two AAA batteries. One great function of it is that it’s batteries recharge if plugged into a PC using the USB interface. The cellphone comes with a cute dock, that indicates battery, also with LEDs.
