Nokia wants a deal just like Apple

Posted on 11 December 2007

Nokia LogoIt is said that iPhone will change the networks industry. Actually, the deal between Apple and AT&T is the main reason for that. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson has said that he sees the iPhone as “the possible first step in the end of networks subsidizing handsets”, meantime Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said that “as far as mobile phones are concerned we are sticking with our old business model - that is, we get paid for our devices”, so it seems that Nokia wants a piece of pie from a subscriber’s mobile plan. Besides that, Nokia are interested in more Internet businesses, navigation and entertainment.
