Cell phone review: Sony Ericsson Equinox
When it comes to a cell phone review, there are many times that you have the rather unpleasant task of not too complimentary review. But then, there are some cell phone handsets that do not really deserve much different than treatment where you ‘call a spade a spade’. This is what happens with the Sony Ericsson Equinox, which is the successor to the TM506. There are some distinctive features like the thin flip phone design and also the ability to work on T-mobile’s 3G network, which is all so convenient when you are on the go. This phone has some redeeming features like the compactness of the phone, along with a sturdy image that seems to go well with it.
But apart from this, it seems as if Sony Ericsson will have to leave some of its bad design habits, if it wants to score points with any cell phone review. For one, the external display is really quite small, so that you have to peer closely at it to be able to see anything on the phone. Similarly, the display is also very dim, so that you do not get the benefit of any clarity. The display misses showing photo caller ID and even the date. It does not work as a viewfinder for the camera lens.
