There were rumors that Samsung is preparing a new smartphone, called i900 and now they seem to become reality. It does have some great features, making it a high-end smartphone, with a 240×400 WQVGA resolution 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 5MP camera, TV OUT, 16GB of internal memory, expandable via a microSD memory card slot, 256MB of RAM, integrated GPS receiver, WiFi and Buetooth 2.2 EDR.

It will have quadband GSM, 3G, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA, FM radio and will use Windows Mobile Professional 6.1. It’s design is great, the iPhone-style, measuring 11.2×5.6×1.3 cm.

A few weeks ago, there were some reports about a Samsung SGH-U800 and finally we know what it was. It’s called Soulb, a name derived from “Spirit of Soul”. Samsung provided the cellphone with a 3MP camera with Power LED Flash, 2-inch QVGA display, office document viewer and editor, Web browser, Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS support, 1GB internal memory and microSD slot if you need more space.

The Samsung Soulb will be available in June this year in Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink and Amethyst Violet. For the moment there is no word about the price, but check the full list of specs below.

Everybody was waiting for the Samsung L870 to come out and the expectations of the Europeans will be met in August this year. The list of the specs is almost unbelievable as the L870 slider will sport Mobile Safari which is Apple’s Webkit-based browser (never before outside of the iPhone).

Samsung’s 13.5mm “jewel” will features Symbian v9.3 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, a 3MP camera, 2.4-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth, 100MB of internal memory and up to 4GB for microSD slot. The L870 slider will support 3.6Mbps HSDA and tri-band EDGE/GPRS. Lucky Europeans!

Samsung’s last product for the iPhone market is the Instinct model, and is expected to be released on 20th of June. Samsung won’t guarantee that it will be available everywhere, at least at the beginning.

Instinct is Sprint’s main product for 2008, and is expected to come off the shelves faster than the store owners put them there. Instead of searching for it in every store from your town, you would be better off just ordering it from the Sprint official website. Keep your eyes open on the 20th!

Finally the rumors that Google is going to release a cellphone might get true, just they won’t make them by themselves. It seems Samsung is preparing two Google Android bases cellphones, due to be released in September, respectively December or January. Also the cellphones won’t be branded with Samsung, but gPhone and the first that will be released is going to be a high-end looking like Blackberry Pearl. The second one will be cheaper, priced at less than $100. Considering it’s true, we might get some more details soon, preferable an official announcement from Samsung or Google.

Samsung released two new phones just for the ladies because they seem to know what women want. The special handsets are the SGH-L310 and the SGH-L320 both feature “female applications” which include shopping list, perfume-matching system and a function which calculates calories.

We should also mention that the cell phones include Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, OLED alert screen, GPRS, EDGE, MP3 support and a microSD card. The L310 features 1.8-inch TFT display meanwhile the L320 has a 1.9-inch display.

The handsets will be available for $352 for the L310 and $322 for the L320. We hope the women will appreciate them and the cell phones keep the ladies occupied for a while.

Today, Samsung and T-Mobile presented their t819 with slider. Initially the FCC documents were talking about the WCDMA on 1700 MHz band, now we know that AWS 3G isn’t included in new products. The handset features quadband EGDE, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, micro SD slot and a 220×176 display with myFaves support. It’s a good looking phone, mostly because of the slider and the coffee brown color is just perfect. We hope you enjoy it!

There are rumors that Samsung is planning to release a Prada-like cellphone, with no keypad and a touchscreen display. The Samsung i900 should be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and designed for the GSM quad-band network. The website that posted the photo and specifications hasn’t given too many informations about it.

The i900 should feature 8Gb of internal memory, UMTS, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, FM radio tuner, microSD memory card slot, java, Bluetooth 2.0, gesture control, 1,500 mAh battery and will measure 112×56x12.5mm.

Now all we can do is wait for more informations, especially an official Samsung announcement, at least to be sure it’s not fake.

Samsung has just announced a new cell phone and might release one more, but this one isn’t official yet. The F490 sports a 3.2 inch touchscree, that works both in portrait and landscape mode, a 5 megapixel camera, an internal memory of 130MB, expandable via the microSD memory card slot, 3.5mm standard audio jack. Unfortunately it’s only tri-band, with GSM / EDGE and HSDPA for Europe’s 2100 Mhz band. It should be available starting February for $780 ( €530 ).

The second Samsung preparing to get on shelves is M800 and it should be sold by Sprint, as we can see written on the cellphone. We don’t know all it’s specifications yet, but it sports a 2 megapixel camera, EV-DO and we neither know the price or release date, but we should find out more soon.

All Samsung fans will be pleased to know that the F700 aka U940 has been given the green light from FCC. Its features are about the same except the camera, which has been decreased to 2 megapixels. The 150MB internal memory, microSD slots and stereo Bluetooth support still stands.
